still having occasional problems

It started at the dunes when iit was really rough and the truck died and took forever to restart, it cranked but wasn't firing the injectors. I thought my ficm plug rattled loose but I don't think so now.because the plug is now tight and I'm still having problems.
After that the truck would stall while driving it about once every other week and crank forever before it would restart like it wasn't making enough oilp to fire the injectors but after about 15 minutes of cranking on and off it would restart and be fine for another week or two untill it would stall and do the same thing.
Now it hasn't stalled while driving but if iafter driving for awhile and I shut it off to order at a drive and then try to start it right back up it cranks for 30secs - a minute to retsart the truck like the injectors aren't firing. If its cold it stats great and if it sits a few minutes it fine to.

I am lost on where to look. Ford replaced the motor about 15k miles ago and it was fine untill the dunes. Taking it back to ford under warranty isn't an option either I was lucky enough they replaced the motor last time. Btw the truck is now stock besides intake, exhaust, tune tranny.

How do I check and what does it mean?

I rebuilt my alt. And put in new batteries about 10months ago so the truck itself has sufficent power. As for power to the ficm no idea. I thought it might be a oil pressure problem but its strange how its only in certain situations.

I think the mechanic at work has a nice scanner, ill try to get him to pull codes tomorow. My lights never come on but then again I don't think I've ever seen mine come on through all the crazy stuff my trucks been through.

Not power to the ficm. The power from the ficm. If its dropping down into the 20volt range. It has a really hard time firing the injectors.

Gotcha ill see if his scanner will read it tomorow.

The only other problems are a lil bit ofa rough idle, an ocassional slight shudder when the motor isn't completely warmed up and accelerating onto the highway. Overall its runs good just not as strong as it used too. Oh and I doubt there's any connection but my overhead compass would give incorrect readings and now its just blank but it start around the same time as the motor began acting up.

My buddies 04 has these exact issues down to a T, including the compass not reading anything anymore. We replaced the FICM (because the old one failed) and it still starts rough. The glow plugs also sound weak on his truck, how about yours?

My 06 shudders sometimes when accelerating when not fully warmed up as well, but it starts and idles fine hot or cold, and I've yet to get mine fixed, been to the dealer twice and posted on every forum I can find with no answers.
