Ah, I was wondering where the discussion on this was.

What would cause a fireball like that? Just fuel atomizing into atmosphere because of an exploded engine?

Or was there a fumigant involved?

Whose truck is it?
 
I believe the 2920 was the previous run. One video I saw showed the run prior and as everyone was huddled around the monitor, he said he had the wrong tune in. He told everyone to back up and then made the pull that resulted in the explosion.
I saw pics of transmission parts laying on the drivers floor board. That had to be a clean your pants moment for him. Glad no one was hurt.
 
It looks as though the transmission case exploded as well, I’m sure it was a combination of all things hot that ignited the fluids.
