Hey Andy,

I am fishing for suggestions on the finish of one of the projects.

I have a 46 Dodge truck, I am speculating on just leaving the metal bare- no primer- no paint. This cab is beautiful in the condition and I almost hate to cover it up. I am thinking of just clearing the bare sheetmetal? Is there a product in your aresenal for this purpose?

For the record- the bare metal look on the older hotrods looks cool as heck and it always draws me in for further inspection.

He's trying to fast-track it....skip the sealer, primer, paint, and clear and just go for the clear. :hehe:

Actually this cab is stupid clean! I blasted the entire cab and doors and started smoothing the small flaws. The cab is all sanded shiney bare steel and the look is growing on me bad.:evil

A 46 model with intact metal work? That must be a jewel of a truck. Can I have it?

I believe I have seen this 1946 Dodge. ??
You saw two 46's and the 38.....

The one is an 18K mile origonal miles unit and the other cab (the one I am referencing in this thread) I bought from a guy who bought it from a bodyshop owner whom stored this 46 inside his body shop for quite a long while.

We have been working away inside the shop:evil

LOL you also saw a 64 Plymouth, 65 Dodge and a 66 Dodge oh and some lame camaro Z28 car :hehe: .....
