What should I bump timing to with DDP4s?
Just put the DDP4s in and man they are everything everyone has talked about. My wife even asked me today if the truck was running because she couldnt see any idle haze .
Now, I am going to do another retorque next weekend, and am going to do the timing. What should I time it to with the DDP4s?

Do you have O-ring or Firerings? Studs? I'd say 17* or 18* is a pretty good figure...

What kind of RPM are you wanting to turn? I wouldn't be afraid of 21.

Lenny has stated not to run over 20* on his injectors, but that also would vary with your headgasket thickness, right?

Lenny told me not to go over 24. Perhaps he knew you were running them on the street. Yea head gasket thickness and how much was taken off of a head to clean it up.

Im running mine at 25*. They seem to be doing just great. Power comes on a little higher in the rpms though. If its your daily driver I'd say set it at 18*

What about a sled pulling/drag racing truck? Where is the best hp with these sticks going to be achieved? Stock compression, head and cam. Assume the truck has fire-rings, studs, and lots of air if need be.

I think that would depend on the piston and how big its bowl is, if Lenny says don't go over 19* he probably means because with stock pistons the spray will start comming over the edge of the bowl. Add marine pistons or Mahle pistons with larger bowls and you could run more timing...
