Those Ross pistons require a very light rotating assembly. Light enough where the rest of the rotating mass isn't durable enough for the street. I believe this is a true dragrace-only piston requiring a very short rebuild cycle.

So is it safe to say that the nats A$$ in a mod class sled pulling motor is still the forged Arias pistons, or is there something better?

errr, dummy here. Those marine pistons, do they require marine heads? Looks like there is no off-set in the bowl? Heck, I donno..... maybe you guys just run wicked high timming.

Yeah that's for sure

My ceramic coated fly cut marines held up great for the past 4 years, but I figured that was old technology these day's

actuly I just read an article in Diesel World magazine about the Ross pistons and how they build them for the tractor pullers very intresting article.
