I broke several of them on the street, mine was a 4x4 and had a cast iron tail housing, I thought that was a good deal, kept swapping it "cast iron housing" to my new tranny's, then found out 99% of the cast iron housings were machined wrong, off center on the rear bushing. Now I have a aluminum housing and haven't broken anymore.

I did get to where I just stayed out of 5th, seemed like everytime I nailed it in 5th it broke. I also had 3.54 gears back then and about 550 hp. You really got to be impressed when you go buy the countershaft gear and the box say's made in Tawain. I dont think you can get good parts for those anymore.

The aftermarket synchro cones do not hold up as well as the OEM part. Seems they're softer material.
