oversize bore

I was just curious if a Cummins would benefit from a oversize bore like a gasser. I know more cyl volume means more air but is it gonna noticeable. The machine shop told me my #1 cyl was scored and they are gonna have to bore it .020. It only 4ci I think.
Just one of those things that got me thinking.

Overbore will help, just on boosted engines, it is usually more cost effective to through more turbo on it. Where the benefit comes in is if you are limited by rules as far as turbo chargers etc.
