47re 3-2 downshift binding help!!'

Getting a bind on a 3-2 downshift... I doesn't seem to do it if I let off the throttle and ease back into but if I'm on the throttle in drive and pull it down to manual 2nd I get what feels like a bind.. Does this have to do with band adj. or something else. Please help!!!

Do you have it adjusted to factory spec? What ratio lever? I know some guys use a spring on the 2nd gear servo to help it release faster. Then again if it's 3 down to 2 that sounds like the direct clutch pack hanging. Hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

Well today i installed superior shift kit, billet accum, anchor, strut and front servo cover. I adjusted the bands while I was in there and it seems to downshift great now... I also put some jb weld to allow 2nd gear lockup but it locked about a handful of times and now won't lock.. I guess jb weld must have came loose!!! Anybody else have this problem? I tried to scuff the walls of the passage as good as I could!! Looks like I might pull it back apart if any suggestion on 2nd gear lockup tricks or other ways beside the jb weld???? I have a spool gun but kinda afraid to try and weld passage shut?????
