I think he cracked a 53 block and built the motor he is currently running now.
Not sure if he's running any internal's but it sure isn't the original (brand new)engine that came on the truck.

I ran my orginal 24v FASS at 18psi for a couple months with no problems. Swapped in the 45psi unit, and really noticed no difference. You can also pull the cam gear off the cam, but I think yanking the cam would be the easier way of doing it. Thats the way I went about it.

You can pull the gear off the cam while in the truck but it is damn near impossible to re-install it. There is a soft free in plug at the rear of the cam that will be pushed out when you try to beat the cam gear back on,, then you will have to pull the engine or trans to rei-nstall. I used a press to put mine on and the gauge said 3 tons when it seated. Be shure to find TDC while the engine is apart and mark the balancer, this will ease timing the
p-pump.

I hear heating the gear is the way, and you can slip it on, although the thrust is still an issue on installation.

i wouldnt heat it up becaues when you heat you change the metal
so it may not fit or be as stong

Warming is more appropriate. Never heat the gear with a torch, it will cause an embrittlement problem with the gear. . . . Either a hot oil bath or gradual warming in an oven, slowly raising the temperature over a lengthy period of time.......

I stuck my cam in the freezer for 2hrs and warmed the gear in an over to 400deg. still had to press it on. Bear in mind that this was on an aftermarket cam, removing and installing on the same cam may be easier. I would strongly suggest removing the cam, at least then you have an excuse to get a bigger one. I just read my last post, sorry for all the typo's I was under the influence of NyQuill
