I'm modifying the top of a fuel tank. I had to cut out a hump to make it fit correctly. I have it cut, and cleaned up, and made a patch that fits great. I'm going to most like rivet it, but need to know what the best sealant/gasket maker would be.

I'm also going to cover the seam with some stuff we use in the oilfield, after the patch and gasket maker are done.

Jb weld did wonders on a gas tank for me back in high school.
