How to create a poll

So, you want to create a poll in a thread, huh? Well, here's how to do it...
  1. Click the "New Thread button" in the forum you want your thread and poll in
  2. Type the text for your thread in the reply window, just as you would if you were just making a new post. Don't worry about the poll yet.
  3. When you've finished your thread information click the preview thread button. Make your changes to your text now if you need to. Everything okay? scroll down BELOW the submit new thread button.
  4. This is the additional options area. The 4th box is the poll option
  5. You'll want to put a check mark in the box that says "Yes, post a poll with this thread"
  6. In the window, select the number of poll choices you want to have (2 up to 10)
  7. Click the "Submit thread"...You will be taken to the poll options
  8. The post a poll screen will come up.
  9. Post your poll question first..(Example: What programmer works best on an 03 Dodge?)
  10. I suggest you have your poll options written down. If you didn't select enough (or you selected too many) poll options, you can change it now...make sure you click "update options" after you change the number.
  11. Fill each box with a poll option. (This is where having them written down helps)
  12. When you have your poll options entered, you may pick a day for the poll to end.
  13. Leaving the date at zero will keep the poll open forever.
  14. If you want members to be able to pick more than one thread option, check the box that says Allow multiple choice
  15. If you want to see who voted on what, click the Make votes public box
  16. You'll want to preview your thread to make sure it's how you want it
  17. If everything looks correct, click "Submit thread", if not, edit accordingly

Of course, if you need to, feel free to ask any member of the staff for help with this or any other operation of the forum. We're all happy to help.
