I was recently told from the district manager that if anyone idles 15 min or more to have the PTO activated? he claims they (dealer) can have it turn on with your cruise control button to allow to bring the idle up to 1500 RPM's so you can properly burn off the debris on the Particulate filter.

if it is an auto, you can have the dealer turn it on. When you are in park, turn the cruise on and push the accel button to turn up th idle

turn the curise on and press set, then use the accel to raise the RPM. Activating the brake, the cruise cancel switch or the cruise switch will turn it off. ........Works GREAT on those HOT days when you must wait in the truck. One thing I don't know is if the 'high Idle' is considered idle time? DC has been reneging warranty for extended idle time. ....and I thought this was a work truck?
