Millicen's Nova

Just ran a 4.55 at 163mph at the Lights out 9 running in x275 class! Congrats, looks like he is qualified in the top 10 if not better. Has run a couple of 4.6x's also. Looks like Daniel Pierce is the wheel man.

4.66 and a 4.64 yesterday. Qualified 6th I believe. They're getting it sorted out that's for sure.

Not is it going rounds without any drama or breakage, it is very competitive in one of the toughest classes in drag racing. Truly amazing feat and hard work.

Does Daniel still have his shop in texas? Seems like he's in Florida everytime I see something about him.

I was just surfing and noticed the top small block car in the x275 class ran a 4.388 @160mph. I don't know if they can get the weight or 60 down much more but it definitely has the power to run with the class

That event is painful to watch, way too much time in between passes.

Maybe the South East guys can enlighten me on a few things that i notice when watching the radial, no prep scene that i haven't experienced at any event that i have raced at.. My thoughts are that the time to run an event would drop by half if they made a few changes. Maybe not and it's "just the way it's always been"

1. Why do they allow 100 people on the starting line and burn out area. I understand one person per rig to help in the box, staging, rev limiter switch. 90% of the people are on their phones just getting in the way.

2. Why are they allowing the cars do burnouts pass the beams? Drag radials don't need a lot of heat or a John Force burn out. These are not dragsters without front brakes or long wheel bases, they are door cars. Maybe at this track, if the water box is too close, then move it back. Having to back up is a huge waste of time.

3. Why does every damn one of the cars need a person to put them close to the pre-stage beam? These are experienced racers driving door cars. I can kinda understand if it's a full blown promod chassis with limited visibility, but not the other 90% of these cars running. Crap my 16 year old kid staged our 25.3 chassis car with funny car cage himself the first time he drove it.

Anyway, i love the racing, just seems that i don't understand a few things on how they run these events and maybe someone with experience can explain. I'm not throwing rocks, just trying to understand.

It's the street outlaws street race type deal, I bet there's more spectators there than the gaternationals in the next couple weeks. I'm with you on everything said but the ticket buyers love it.

Also don't forget they have to hold on to the quarter panel when they do a burnout.

1. Why do they allow 100 people on the starting line and burn out area.

To sell tickets man. That whole Street Outlaws grudge racing type thing is big right now. Most popular type of drag racing in the country.

2. Why are they allowing the cars do burnouts pass the beams? Drag radials don't need a lot of heat or a John Force burn out.

They need a decent burn out when you're trying to run 3s at 200 in the 1/8th on them!

3. Why does every damn one of the cars need a person to put them close to the pre-stage beam?

The cars react so quick on radials that most of the faster or fast-ish cars can cut crazy 60ft times, one guy went .956 in qualifying. So they try to shallow stage as much as possible, and trying to do that helps if you have a helper.

I don't understand why they have to hold the quarter panels when they do a burn out. Don't they use a line lock? I would think they wouldn't hardly move on those small tires, totally agree with rob the 400 ft burn out is a total waste of time, it's not like they are trying to lay down a groove like street racing. Strictly a crowd pleaser thing.

They’re putting on a show...and it’s the biggest show in drag racing right now. It’s a blast if you’re there in person...sucks ass trying to watch it on a live feed though.

Went out Rd 2. From what I gather, they put a big tune in it and spun the tires on the line.

I think they did a great job representing!
