They have also asked me about the requirements for gear: helmet, Fire suit, gloves, footwear, safety belts, etc...

Can that information be found in the 2013 NHRA Handbook?

I really appreciate the help of all of those taking this seriously! I know the Thailand race team is very grateful as well!

Yessir it can.

Don't forget flexplate, engine diaper, trans shield, window net

Call Taylor Motorsports - Home Page for a package deal, I'm sure he'd take care of ya for alllll your stuff, IE; gloves, net, belts etc.

Doesn't everyone use a windowed block for mock up? I know I do.

The only thing that looks sketchy is the FC hoop...sure does look far back but pics do weird things sometimes.
I also wonder why they did all this great looking work in mild steel instead of stepping up to chromoly and tig welding it. Could have gotten a quicker cert and saved some weight.

I hope the FC cage is correct too...

I'm not sure on the use of MS might be, language, price, aviability, etc.

I'm just very glad they took it upon them selves to rebuild the whole thing for September!!!!

They are immensely dedicated to coming over here!

This will be the first SFI spec car built in All of Thailand from my understanding.

Might try EMJ, TW Metals, or even Aircraft Spruce. If they end up with shipping problems or whatnot, give me a call.

Are the door bars still too low? I sent this change to the team when it was suggested.

Can the bar be cut out and replaced or is that not allowed once it is fully welded in?

Considering how quickly they built an entire chassis from scratch in a VERY short time frame I think they'll be fine, appreciate your optimism!

An unfinished chassis sitting on the floor isn't gonna get them down the track for test n tune passes. Just a lot for them to do. Hope they can make it. Still have to finish chassis. Put the entire truck back together. Make some test passes to tune everything back up. Ship it here. Get it thru customs. Get it certified. That's a lot to do in one month. I wish them luck. I just hope they are getting built right. Hate to see them go thru all that to get it here and it not be able to make a pass because a bar is off by a few inches.

...just curious if everything was on schedule? My son and I were thinking about flying down for the finals. Did the Thia boys switch to chrome moly?

With this kind of effort, and the unusual circumstances, surely these fellas will be permitted to compete in the pro stock class???? Really, in what lifetime would something like this ever happen again????
