24v questions from a 12v guy
A friend of mine just bought a 01 24v cherry virgin truck. I'm really jealous of it actually. He wants my turbo 64.5/73/12 or 14 ( I have a custom exhaust housing milled to fit a 73 wheel) what size injectors would he need ? 120hp 150?? I spooled it fine on a 475cc 180 p pump with 5x14.
My next question, my brother has common rail 24v head studs will they work on a vp44 24v??

I have a 363/68/.78 t3 on my vp44 I hate It!!! In my opinion vp44s need small turbos or they just suck period. As for the head stud question yes they will work just fine, that I know for 100% fact. If my truck stays vp44 going smaller turbo if it goes p pump swap I’ll try the 363

No less than 7 x .010's from a good builder. There is no reason why 7 x .009's should be super smokey. My dfi 7 x .009's would only haze at sea level

With my Manning Motorsport 63/68/12, I ran 7 x .011's from Weston and loved the combo. I went from 150 DDP's to Westons and it ran way cleaner.

7x.010 vote here.
That 64 you have will be a turd on a vp truck for sure.
I’d stick with a larger 62 or 63/68/13.

Oh dang.. now I feel kinda bad selling him them turbo. It did great on my 12v. If I didn't have a tight converter i would still use it.

I ran this 64.5/73 with a 14cm housing hated it had a custom 12cm housing made for it.. it spooled like the old 62/65's. Atleast on my 12v

It’ll be a turd on that vp truck. Especially if it’s an auto.

X2 on the 7x10 injector recommendation. Have a set of rv275's extrude honed to 7x10 and balanced and really love them in my '99.
