Changed TCC/OD solenoids now problematic.

I have been having issues with my lockup/OD staying engaged both before and after the rebuild, trans was rebuilt using a Suncoast extreme duty kit and a TFOD-3 valve body kit and has about 280mi on it as of today.

I bought new solenoids from BW, pulled vb, and replaced everything. I did notice what I feel is excessive material in the pan when I dropped it. No big chunks of anything, just a bit of material on the magnet and in the pan, the filter did seen to be completely plugged though. I did not adjust the bands and re-installed everything as it was before.

Filled it with fluid and now it seems as off the stall magically increased to 2k, did not do this before, stalled at about 1600. Seems like its slipping, it will move in all gears, but it doesn't seem to have the same fluid coupling it had before. The TC is a Daaco triple disk with what is supposed to be a stock stall. I'm pretty lost here.

What do suggest my next move be?

Did you use any specialty told when installing your od brake apply piston onto the back of the case? Or just hoped that both those lip seals went in right?

Everything internal was done by a seasoned builder, highly doubt it was put in on a hope and a prayer

As of now. I checked the fluid again, was a touch low. Let it idle to get warm, has a strong fluid coupling again but no D, lockup or OD. I'm utterly confused now

Quoting Rpegram on cumminsforum...

"If you are having issues with both lockup and cruise, I would look first at the brake light switch on the brake pedal. When you touch the brakes and rear brake lights come on, the converter should unlock and cruise disabled, both done by the PCM. You could also be having some issues with the temp sensor inside the trans. It is part of the pressure sensor and governor solenoid circuit, more precise it is inside the pressure sensor. "

"The TC is a triple disk" That is probably your problem. If I recall correctly a local transmission builder told me he stopped using that brand converters because in the last year he had 10 of them go bad. The only thing that would change the stall speed in the converter is either a BIG increase in engine power pushing the stall higher or a bad tc.
