I've been told, that towing heavy in OD is really dependent on TV cable position, meaning if your going to tow a heavy load in OD, dont lug it, high TQ with little TV cable position is going to give less line pressure to the OD pack....do the math

That is quite possible about the tv cable, but mine is driven by a motor. I think it depends on valvebody build as well.

My old 02 we use to tow in OD all the time. Mods were little stuff never had a problem. Every truck is different with the mods forsure..

I dont think Ive ever NOT towed in OD. Even when I pulled a load of steel thru Kentucky up to Columbus OH grossing 29,500lbs..

I tow a 29' TT mostly in OD without issue. We do drop down when elevation changes too much and truck starts to lug without alot of throttle input.
