P7100 timing to advanced?

I have a 160 pump that I’m using on my swap I haven’t started the motor yet but I’m wondering if I have the pump timing to advanced. I don’t have a dial indicator so I pinned my pump which I believe should be 13.5 degrees. I marked tdc on my balancer and then made a mark 1/2” away rotated my motor cc till I got to the new mark. Then pulled the the pump gear off and put my motor back to tdc, then reinstalled the pump gear. I read a post that some one said 1/4” turn should be 3* so I figured 1/2” would be 6* but now I read somewhere else that 1/4” was 6*.. so now I’m not sure if I’m way to advanced or not.

It's wrong.

You need to pin the pump now, then pop the gear loose.
Then tdc the engine, then back up the balancer 1/2".
That's pretty conservative timing bump but worth doing.

x2. I really like 21deg timing with some 4k gov springs for a great daily driver that will still start in the cold, tow well, and not blow head gaskets.
