Squealing

Hey guys, I have an 04.5 CR(600 series 325hp) and it's got a loud squeal when your given er. It's not there under normal driving just when your driving it hard. I pulled the intake off and felt the turbo noticed it had some side to side play and what appeared to be rub marks on the comp. housing. So I ordered up a super b and installed it. Noise is still there... Any ideas or things I can look at?

Like I said its an 04.5, only mods were a predator and a muffler delete and now a super b.

Thanks in advance, let the knowledge flow!

Did you replace the turbo to manifold gasket when you did the turbo?

Yes I replaced turbo to manifold gasket, I'll do another leak test but didn't find any the first time

Mine is doing the exact same thing. I was hauling a light load one day on the highway, approx 75 mph and i heard the turbo almost get louder. So I pulled over, figuring BHAF came off. BHAF was still on. Looked over boots, and nothing. Turbo still feels good, not alot of play. Does not do it under no load, and is boost related. My turbo was relativeley quiet, even with the silencer ring removed, now you can definatly hear the whistle, almost sounds like a choppy whistle if i had to explain it. It hasnt affected performance or anything so I guess its ok for now

Mine did it at one point and it was a boot.. I just went over each tightening them a little and it went away.. Not sure exactly which one it was but tightening the boots solved it. Was definately a boost leak causing my squeal.. Good luck finding it..

Had this happen once, ended up being a slightly loose intake manifold bolt.
