2005 cummins ECM problem ppe smarty recovery
I bought a used ppe from a guy and i went to put it on my truck and it went into some sort of recovery mode. It downloaded a 2003 tune into my truck or something ?? It wont start now. anyways i took it to the dealer and they said that their computer wont put it into the computer because its showing it has all of the latest updates or something?? they are suggesting a new ecm. my ? is if i get a buddies smarty and get a recovery file somehow, can i recover my truck with it? where can i get the recovery tune?? also does anyone know if there is any tricks that i should tell the dealer to try. thanks for any help i really need it!!

who do you suggest that i call?? I will buy a new smarty and let them load a recovery file or whatever i should do??
