Yes, I do plan on adding more bracing to just about everything. I just ran out of tube last week. This truck is far from complete.

Working on the steering tonight. I just welded some 1/4” tabs on the threaded end that I cut off the factory tie rod.

Started working on the steering shaft last night, I just used the stock shaft and cut about 12” out of it. Should have about 4” of travel which is all I will need.

Now I just need to mount the shaft from the steering wheel solid and this slip shaft will absorb suspension travel.

Added some more bracing to the back half. I haven’t had much time to work on this thing in last couple weeks. Hopefully I can get some things done this weekend.

I am going to run tubing through the larger holes in the brackets and weld them up.

The front brackets will also have the coilover mounts bolted between them, that will add some strength also.

I don’t see a passenger seat. Where are you going to sit when the kiddo’s start driving?

Great progress my friend. Is the engine from your black truck going in there? I don’t recall.

Haha, nah kids aren’t driving this one.

The plan is to swap the engine and trans out of the black truck to this one, then put the black truck back to stock and sell it.

I can’t remember the brand, but I think I got it from Summit. It’s a 5 gallon cell, really shouldn’t need anymore than that.

I went and picked up the bumper cover today. Now I can start mounting the bumper and front fenders. I want to make everything easy to remove for engine work.
