Possibly frame and cab swap

Thinking about swaping my eclb into a ecsb. This guys selling a 1500 for 400 bucks, can i just axle swap my 3/4 tons onto it and run it? Or do i need to strengthen the frame also would emissions or anything be different or all the same?

Why not shorten the frame on yours and put the short bed off of that truck onto it?

Swapping all of your stuff to the 1500 is going to be a lot more work than it seems on paper.

The 1500 frame is a little weaker, the rear spring hangers are 1/2" narrower so you'd have to cut them off and replace them with the wider ones. There is a ton of little issues you'll run into, and if you live in anywhere where rust is an issue, that just makes things worse. It'd probably be a better idea to shorten your current frame
