VP in My Pp

The boy found himself a slick little flatbed truck. 1997 4x4 47. Engine is burnt up. Just so happens we have a 2000 VP engine with ECM and wiring laying around. Truck was a manual. Can I have the VP ECM flashed to control the transmission? Is the wiring the same?

We could have the 12v rebuilt but I wouldn’t mind having it laying around to do another VE truck build. I hear there’s some big numbers getting tossed around these days.

Any and advice welcomed. Any parts I need and you have let me know too please.

Edit, engine and stuff for engine are out of a 2002 if that makes any difference?

Probably be the easiest to just p pump swap the 24v.

We talked about that. I told him to research it. I honestly don’t know what all is needed. So I’ll listen to advice on that as well.

Other than a set of conversion inj lines, you should already have everything you need.
