Premium blue works fine for abusive R&D testing and never any issues with it in either of my trucks.

And it smells like candy!
I've ran every single kind of 15w40 you can buy at the store, and now that I dont have a "supply" of Valvoline Premium Blue, its whatever is cheapest. Usually Delvac is cheaper.

Valvoline premium blue 15w40 and I add some STP oil treatment for the extra zinc and the request of my cam supplier.

i've only tried the "supply" once and having my engine smell like a dishwasher was not really all that fun. But i still get the smell-funny-free stuff from advance. Never been employed there a day in my life but i've gotten a manger discount sporatically over the past few years lol

The guy that had my engine before me used mystic 15-50 semi synthetic, so i stuck with it.
Seems to do just fine.
