I've been a customer of Phil's for almost 2 years now, I buy Allison converters from him. In the past 2 years I've purchased a substantial number of them. All showed up the next morning, well packaged. Phil even did a few custom things to my converters to make them special to me. I've had 2 converters that came from DPC that had issues... shocking? Things happen with man made products, we're not God. Upon inspection it was determined that a bad batch of bearings from Phil's bearing supplier was the culprit.
One converter was removed in my shop, the other was in Louisiana. When my customer called complaining of transmission issues we pulled his truck in that afternoon, began removing the trans, I was on the phone with Phil during the process and first thing the next morning I had another converter sitting on my floor. The offer was even made that if I needed it, he'd hop in his truck and deliver it to me that same day!
The second converter (built in the same batch as the first) was drop shipped from DPC to my customer in LA. With in the same time frame as the first it had the same failure, bad bearing. Phil took time to call and talk with my customer to avoid a third party situation and was able to determine the same failure as before. My customer also received another converter the next day at no cost to him. Problems solved.
Phil Taylor has become a close personal friend of mine and that isn't going to change. I hate that all this stuff has happened in our world but I guess that's just life. The only real non factual thing I have to say to everyone is to not just believe what you read on a forum or hear from someone, use your own judgement skills to make an informed decision yourself...

I said it in another thread and Ill say it again... I've used DPC converters for my transmission builds with Tim Barber's vb and transmission setup and have had excellent results. Phil's product and service has served me and my customers VERY well.

Just to share my experience with DPC... When i first had my tranny built it had 284,000 miles on it. I had Darren some Billet parts and a Billet flex plate was one of them and a triple disc DPC, then i was mainly pulling trailers and driving it everyday NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. After getting bit by the drag racing bug, I have bumped the hp up a bit (about 575). I took the tc out and sent it to Phil to get it loosened up after putting a bigger charger on my truck. Not only was the tc back in just a few days there was NO CHARGE!!!!! Now i have 305,000 miles on it STILL driving it everyday, STILL pulling trailers,STILL giving it hell on the street and at the track and STILL HAVEN'T HAD THE FIRST PROBLEM OUT OF IT!!! I just hope that the people (most importantly future customers) see The TRUTH and not the BULLSH** rumors that the competition are trying to spread about DPC. As for customer service personally i dont think you can get any better than that. If you have any questions give Phil a call he is good people and if you ever talk to him you will find out for yourself. I will never buy ANY other TC just put it that way!!!!!

Ok let me make this clear, like I said in the other forum, this is Phils forum. If you have a question post it, if your gonnanget into a pissing party or bash him, this certainly is not the place for it. I don'tngive a chit if its Tim, Phil, or Rico, the next person to take a personal shot on here at anyone other than themself is going to have a hard time seeing any responses.

Why not put it in a new thread? If you haven't noticed this is going to keep going until it gets resolved...give em a thread. I know it's self destructive to all parties involved. But if they choose to dig a hole believing that they are in the "right" I say let em have it. Just because you give em the rope doesn't mean you're the one who hung them.

Swole...lets get this straight. I am a civil person. I am being civil with you. You are defending a friend that has helped you with your truck and I am defending a friend that helps me with my truck. I think Phil is a great guy, so in return I will stick up for him. You think garmon is awesome so your sticking up for him....thats fine, its life. The point where you cross the line is when you drag Will, Phil, Darren, Ashley and everyone else into it making them looks like crocks of chit. The comp d members and them must feel pretty strongly about phil because we don't back down no matter how much chit you start.
Here is the bottom line, your childish remarks are getting old. You are not a garmon, let him speak for himself if he has something to say, you don't have to be a superman and save the day for him. I hope you go back and read what you have said because it is fukking embarrassing swole. As long as you keep up this behavior it is going to do nothing but drive garmons name further into the ground, you should know this. There is a fine line between sticking up for a friend and sucking his d*ck.
Written with all due respect to you.

So as not to get myself in trouble after Tim (Dalpilot) cleaned this threat up, I'll just say this...
Please go read the CF thread and what's LEFT of the stuff here thats not been deleted..
Those folks YOU listed came into those threads and started Bashing me! Bringing the fight to ME! When Ashley and others weren't even discussing the same topic!!!
HOW exactly is that Me starting it??
Sounds like you may need to do the "re-reading"....
"With all due respect of course"

There's some schit that got brought up over there that shouldnt have been brought up. What people do in private is there own deal, and has nothing to do with a converter thread unless you are trying to ruin someone.
