that's a good sign the governor solenoid isn't working. A new one could have gone in but, if there was any crap in the fluid, it could have damaged it again.

Thanks for the heads ups. Its doing it when the truck is warmed up. When we dropped the fluid out it looked fine and even Sticky made a comment about it.

Now, can you "fix" these CR injectors if they fail the testing? And how much?

He tested all of my injectors Yesterday....Found One that was WAY outta spec for return fuel....
The machine has two tubes that show the Amount of fuel delivered and the Amount of fuel Returned..(Forgive me for now knowing terms and specific details..It's WAY smarter than me) All of them hit just above the 18 mark on delivery and were right around 3 on the return......2-4 is within spec on return.....The one bad one was returing OVER 10!!!
SO , THAT was one of my problems with power!!! We swaped in a good body with my Flux 3.8 tip on the bad one and then tested it again!! We got 18+ on delivery and only 3 on return........So THAT should help a lot!!

It's a good thing Jeff got his test stand set up when he did so your injectors could be tested before dropping them in. "You'd still be wandering where the hp went"

But can he "FIX" them once tested?

And did you do a return line flow test before you pulled the sticks? My over all volume between all 6 is 25% of MAX turned in 60 seconds (1.5floz). that doesn't mean one is peeing all over the place and the other 5 are with tight.

Not to step on toes, but I thought I had some injector issues a couple months ago and I was talking with a couple of diesel shops that have bosch test stand and they said "Common Rail injectors CANNOT be rebuilt, just replace" which was confirmed by the guys at bosch. But, Don M says he rebuilds them so I dont know.

Exactly my point. They can be rebuilt to a point from what I understand.

As far as I know, Jeff can't rebuild them.....Yet!

I'm sure that if theres a way to get the parts and do it, Jeff will find a way somehow!!

hmmm I wonder if there's a bosch test stand with in reasonable drive in the volvo from Minneapolis. Might for giggles get them "tested" if I don't have to be down for another freaking week (I HATE sharing a ride....)

Just to add to this . Common rail injectors contrary to what Bosch claims can be rebuilt. DTech is rebuilding them and we have about 228 running up and down the road. We will in about 3 months be offering HP models for the 5.9.

Are you sure they're just not replacing either the nozzle and/or body and calling them rebuilt? Also, if you dont mind sharing the cost, I asked b/c 2 places I called that said they "rebuild" them, but the price was more expensive to rebuild than just buy and body/nozzle and replace?

The closest place I found was in Central Missouri, dirving wise the Twin Cities is close to me, but I couldnt find anyone there, which was kind of suprising. After talking with some bosch guys they said there is only a dozen or 2 places with their stands.
