Trans case repair

Hello.

I shall replace the front cover of the transcase on my 3500, DHD case.
Can i remove the t-case without drain the automatic gerarbox?

When i search on Ebay for used covers, the most i find is for 1998-2001.
Is it not the same case from 1994?

What more parts are good the buy at same time? Complete seal kit of course, but somting more that are likely worn?

Thanks.

Transmission does not need to be drained.

Replace the pieces that go on the shift forks while you are in there. I am not sure what they are called.
