92 2500 Le ?

May go and look at this truck this weekend: 92 Dodge Ram 2500 LE ext. cab, 4X4 diesel 5 spd, all power options. The dealer has 2 on the lot starting at $4995. Are there any items or issues I should be aware of with this truck? Is it turbocharged? Decent fuel mileage? Don't mean to be sounding uneducated just never really looked at a cummins before, alway been IH powered!

Really not too many things too look for. Check the roof line above the window, they like to rust there. Also most of the time there are cracks on the cowl, you can see them through the door, its not a big deal. They get great fuel mileage, 16-20. They are turbo charged and they can be turned up real easy!

The tranny may have issues. The shift forks wear out, and the only ones left are the after market ones that wear really fast. So it might be hard to get into 4th. And the gear oil will look like the aluminum flake radiator stop leak if its wore bad.
