Got hit by a deer last spring. Caved in the drivers side of the box. Decided it was time for a little make over!

I’d love a set of those wheels, but finding them at a reasonable price is a different story!

I’d love to put a single real wheel on the front and the factory Alcoa’s in the rear.

Thinking about putting the simulators back on for the look. Too shiny to have these skanky steel wheels on it.

Thanks! Been looking for that one for some time. Finally got it found.
It doesn’t see winter and stuff, so when the weather turns I have some more work to do as well.
Yea they’re just the factory steel inners.
I need to strip the clear off these and polish them out but I’m dreading that.

Ha ha yes that’s a lot of work to do that. Then you have to keep after it. I think I’d wait until they clear starts coming off.

They’re not in the best shape and have been scuffed a couple times. They’re do.

I like the transformation. I know many don’t like the little fenders, but I’m a fan of them. I prefer them on the Fords as well (‘11-‘16).

I really like it. Kinda give it that old school look of the first gens.

Plus, it’s they’re much easier to see over bs the big box flares that were on it. I may actually be able to see my empty boat trailer backing up to the launch now!

Did you have to put new studs in the hubs or are the factory studs long enough for the steels and aluminums?

Went from stocks to that setup running a 2” spacer in between and all is well.

Definitely strip the clear and polish. Before:
Click the image to open in full size.

And after
Click the image to open in full size.

Due to be touched up now. Open to ideas to keep them like this.

Man this makes me want a set even more!

When we polished the wheels on the semis, we just used a paste polish to touch them up. There seems to be millions of recipes out there but they all seem to go the same thing.

I’m in the same boat looking for Alcoas! I definitely like the 3rd gen fender, I believe there was a company offering them for 2nd gens. Dig the Black and Tan combo

Nice looking truck you have there! I still want a nice clean 2nd Gen someday. Should have never sold mine!

P.S. mine is tan and gold. In the right lighting it always looks black. But the brown is so pretty.

Ahh double take it is brown! I have a 1st gen that’s very dark brown and light sand stripe! What’s the color codes for yours??

The dark brown paint code is PTW.

The gold isn’t factory. It is actually a Ford paint code.
