Replace HX35 with ????
Looking for suggestions on new turbo. Truck is 98 12valve , oringed head 60# springs , 5X14 injectors , 4th rpm governor springs , stock exhaust and intake manifolds , 4:10 gears , 5speed , 4X4 , timing at 18*. I know there are endless options out there. I'm thinking maybe a 62 of some sort

62/65/14 or 63/68/14 would be a quick charger with what you got for mods

Says 5 speed, so I'm guessing a 4500.

I ran virtually the same setup as yours (3.55's and 16 degrees timing) and I had a Super B Special (64/71/0.80). It spooled better than the 62/71/0.80 it replaced and was a great DD turbo. I never dynoed it, but by trap speed, it was around a 500 hp setup that was easy to control the smoke.
