Crankcase Pressure

Guys,

Hope everyone is doing well. Very fortunate to be able to discuss my problem with everyone here. I have a 2011 Ram 2500 4x4 short bed Laramie. Fortunate enough to be running 12.2 on the truck and drive it daily with the 68rfe.

Lately I been having oil leaking problems. My valve cover is leaking a lot around cylinder 5 and 6 driver side. To the point where all the rail is wet and dripping down the block. Rear seal seems to be leaking as well. I had the ccv clogged and took it apart and took the insides out and put it back together thinking it could help.

Im still having the same leaking problem and I’m blaming it to high crankcase pressure problem. I’m still running the stock valve cover and don’t have a oil catch can. Tying to get some inside into how to resolve my problem.

I will definitely try that. I still think is coming also from the valve cover. All the gaskets where changed recently. Today I opened all to change the rail for a t&c rail. Ones the injector harness gasket was taken out there was oil on the back driver corner of th rocker box from one side of the wall to the other side like if the gasket never sealed on that corner

Fire it up and pull the oil cap, if crank case fumes blow out enough to see, and are pulsing, you have other, more pressing issues.

Mark.

Checked and nothing. All looks good. Had to put a board to block the air out of the fan. All looks good. No visible fumes and/or pulsing.

I might just have to buy a billet valve cover and a catch can. I’m doing 70lbs pf boost and that might be the problem the own cover is no good.
