Airflow correlation?

Can anyone explain the correlation between fresh airflow, charge airflow and vgt position on boost pressure?

The less drive the sensor next to the thermostat sees, the tighter the housing gets!

The more drive pressure the looser it opens(not saying much).

Throttle position plays a factor in there aswell.

That makes sense. But as I understand it, fresh airflow is air coming into the intake, charge airflow is air going through the inter cooler but how do those equate to boost pressure? Like how will changing one of those maps affect boost pressure?
