47re standalone controller joefarmer

I'm in the middle of a 12v conversion of an 04 tundra DoubleCab and came across a thread from a few years ago from joefarmer in which he talked about a 47re controller that he was building to possibly sell? My post count does not allow me to contact him directly and I'm in fear of the bitter sting of the ban hammer if I try to boost it...but if anyone can put me into contact with him I would appreciate it. Thank you very much!

Currently still in beta testing. I built 3 units to send out Sunday night and ran into error when evaluating them. I'll send you a PM with my contact info and the details.

joefarmer I'm glad I caught this thread. My 96' eletronics have went haywire again. No 3rd lockup, 4th or 4th TC lockup until over 60mph. I haven't had a chance to chase it down yet. Last time this happened, new TPS and VB parts solved the problem. Problem is they are all less than yr old! Does you stand alone have similiar functions as the ATS unit? I'm tired of dealing with this mess!

I've dealt with that same issue multiple times and it was always a bad TPS in my case. Try swapping it out with a known good sensor and try it again. They kept failing within a few months but the last one I put in has been good so far just over a year old now. Could be your issue too. Just my .02

It would need the electronics in good working order to function properly. It uses the factory sensors (including TPS) to shift a factory 47 or 48RE VB.

No, I missed it and immediately went on vacation. It's there, but I need colder weather to test it.

Ooh. I was curious how crazy you had to get.
If I get to build a Ford, I will need one.

Not very, actually. I assumed a line in the Dodge schematic was there. It wasn't. The transmission sensor is now a part of a voltage divider.

So does the governor solenoid go to specific duty cycles or does it modulate variably over several Millis?

Depends on speed. Mostly it does a specific duty cycle depending on several trim factors.
