Wanting to get some info for the upcoming build and studs for bottom end and top aren't cheap and I'm looking at spending the money on 14mm A1 studs along with the extra long 14mm mains with girdle on the bottom.

After looking on other threads a company called Extreme Studs came up so I did some searching and they are a company based out of Indiana.

Quoted from their site:

"Our studs are made from a chrome moly base material specifically designed for heavy duty, hi-shock applications (DIESELS). These would be equal to or better than any so-called super hi-performance bolt or stud on the market today. All our studs, washers, and 12 Point nuts are made in house! This is how we are able to build the highest quality, highest strength studs at a reasonable cost."

Anyone ever head of them or use their products? $600 for 14mm studs and 675 iirc for mains and a girdle. Looking for more info and users if possible. Good or bad I want to hear your opinion.

Thanks!

sub'd. Never heard of them but seem to be reasonably priced.

ohhh and don't google "extreme studs".. i'm assuming lots of not good stuff with come up

LOL

I linked it for ya at the bottom so you don't need to be checking out any guys for now.

They look to be a good company I just want to try to find first hand experience.

But 600 bucks for 12mm head studs also? They should be better than arp 2000 for that price.

Sounds like they are comparing them to the 625 new age material. If that's the case they are almost half the price. I don't see them being like a 12mm A1 or ARP2000

Just found rod bolts at the bottom of site page for 400 also. Wonder what the material is then.

I had a set, the quality looks good on them. All the problems I've had with my motor were my fault not the parts I used. I would try another set if doing another motor.

I'm interested as well. I emailed them a couple of days ago to see if they did 24v head studs in 14mm but still haven't got a response back yet. Btw Haisleys has rod ARP rod bolts for $150.

I'm going to call them today to ask a few questions. I was wondering why the price for the rod bolts were so high compared to the other two.

Thinking it might be worth a try but until I'm 125% sure on that company I won't buy anything yet.

The shop I took my head to a few days ago was telling me about some studs from the East side of Michigan that were like ARP 635 but were only 600 bucks. This must be the place, they're from Casco, Michigan.

Haisley rod bolts are not made by ARP

Ok, maybe I had old information ,previously they were made by A1.

I also brought one set , just waiting to arrive..

Called them and left a message. Their number is a cell phone number with human voicemail. Just a simple number. I have heard from only 2 people that have first hand experience.

Questions I have for them :

- how threads on (rolled, tapped etc)
- tensile strength
- material used
- warrenty
- what the girdle and main stud kit looks like

Any other questions you guys can come up with. I'm hoping for a return call shortly.

I'd ask for the type of heat treatment used and the Rockwell C hardness if you get a response on the material. More than likely they will refuse to tell you or won't know but it's worth a shot. Do we know if they require machining for the pedestals?
