N nate New member Jun 27, 2008 #1 Looking for about a foot long piece of .25" ID black silicone hose, where can I buy that?
N nate New member Jun 27, 2008 #3 I need it for the wastegate. I think it needs to be silicone? A blue one came with the turbo, but I have an "all black" theme in the engine bay. I know it seems anal, but the blue sticks out since most everything is black.

BigYellowIron Diesel Tech Jun 28, 2008 #4 I have been using the fuel injection line the Oreilly's sells. Seems to do the job just fine.
Jff24Gordn FIRE Jun 29, 2008 #5 I'm using black 1/4"OD air bake tubing with push lock connectors. the lack of clamps makes a cleaner look, and less things to catch your arm on.

N nate New member Jun 29, 2008 #6 Never heard of air bake tubing, where did you get that at? I thought because the turbo gets hot would be the reason they use silicone hose? I know the stock turbo uses is as well.

Jff24Gordn FIRE Jun 30, 2008 #7 air brake tubing. after a little research, maybe it ain't a good idea on a daily diver. it starts to get soft past 200F. it works good on my truck because it isn't hot enough for long enough to get soft.
