T-6 DD

Any experience daily driving a t-6 foot? Specifically in a 1.15 turbine housing.

I currently already have a t4 steed speed hooked up to a 1.01 and it's pretty quick. Wondering if I can get away with a t6. Thanks

A well matched cam would help, but with a 6.7 not necessary. I would go for it.

It would also depend a lot on the rest of the turbo. There are a lot of t6 options out there lol If you're talking about the one in your sig, does it even flow enough to max out a t4?

My gtx4294 (70.6mm compressor/82mm turbine 1.01 housing) most definitely wouldn't max out a t4, I dont think? Garett rates the turbo at 950hp.

The new turbo I'm looking at is a gtx4202 (75.8mm inducer/82mm turbine with a 1.15 t6) which is rated up to 1200 by Garrett. I'm looking to make over 1000hp on a single, but also need it to be daily drive-able. Which leads me to my question. Thanks again for any input!

I'm jealous of you cr guys. I have a 4202r, which I know is a far shot from a gtx, but I'd never dream of making more than 800with it lol

On the fence about this t-6 1.15 on the street. I think I'm just going to reuse the t4 1.01 off my 4294r and call it a day...gonna see what the dudes on CF have to say lol.

I'd keep your current turbo. A while ago I asked a member on CF about his GTX4202R w/1.01 AR how it spooled and he said horribly. I'm not sure on his mods though, I think just EFI Live.

The 1.15AR turbine housing would not make more power, and a GT42 is very capable of more than 1,000hp.

Righteous. Probably just gonna stick with the 4294 for street friendliness, maybe someday down the line throw a gt55 over it. Thanks for all the input
