2013 C&C eating waterpumps

We have a 2013 C&C service truck with around 100k thats gone through 3 or 4 waterpumps already, they have been OEM mopar and napa pumps. This last OEM one locked up solid.

Typically using CAT ELC coolant

Mechanic/driver of the truck has been changing them, no obvious signs of bad install , havent seen any chunks or pieces floating around and old impellers are not damaged.

Made sure to burp system well also.

Anything were missing here?

The water pumps you were using vented? I know there was a huge recall about a year ago that effected 444,000 cummins equipped trucks. The off brand pumps should of been vented I would of thought.

Those are still burning down trucks to this day. Recall is still on, them getting parts and changing them is another story.
I haven't seen the "fixed" pumps yet to know what was changed.

I've been through 4 pumps in 101K miles. Everything from OEM to NAPA. One had the pulley wheel fall the FCK off!!

Really annoying

And then my alternator started on fire while sitting in morning traffic!

Do the pre-2013 pumps bolt right up?
Sounds like it's a pump issue, not anything specific to your engine/truck.

Thought about trying a 5.9 pump, not sure how the decreased flow rate will affect it though, it is deleted.
