Rpm drop

When I put my truck in reverse, it drops to a little under 600 rpm and steering acts funny, assumingly from the low rpms. Think it's from tuning? Trucks an 09 with unknown tuning, fully deleted

Should be the same as when you put it in drive, converter stall would be the only factor.

Its not. It drops about 200 more in reverse. Makes no sense to me, can only figure tuning....I guess

It’s to reduce the torque placed on the tranny when in reverse. Mine did it stock and tuned nothing to worry about.

Ok cool. Wasn't super worried, just found it odd. Especially since it dropped so much I have to a gas it to get the steering to turn easy
