filled block characteristicts driving?

May I ask you some questions about your setup? I can pm if preferred.

What material did you fill your block with?
Do you run water in the head, how is it plumbed, radiator?

Filled block and head. No coolant at all. It was filled with the Moroso stuff you can get through Jegs

Bigstacks, do you even worry about fire rings with a dry block, can you just run like a solid copper head gasket?

Just because it did not swell a piston to the point of lockup, I have to say that damage was done on the road trip.

Would you just look at all that damage....

I have been running a filled block on the street for over 3 years now. Its always interesting to see how the internet swears up and down you cant do it. Water in the head and a oil cooler and you can run that motor all day.

That's awesome that you pulled a piston out of a perfectly good running engine just to prove me wrong. LOL

The pistons were Chinese that a company on here was testing a while back. They had issues and stopped selling them. One of these broke from the valve relief to the top ring landing. It didnt bang up the cylinder at all so I just swapped pistons and went on my way. Those pistons didnt have any of the damage that you speak of either.
