Yea, with 60k on a 38k suspension and 3000+ ftlbs on an 1850tq driveline. Dealer tech’s heads popping like champagne corks. “You can’t do that”

Only the cheap ones because you used to be able to buy an airliner cutoff for $500. Glider market raised that for a while but it’s back in the toilet now. Hendrickson spring sells higher than airliner. Nothing wrong with airliner just market is flooded. Guys now are swapping old low air leaf to the new style. Way less issues with bushings and breaking U bolts.

Is a single axle KW 8 bag setup going to give us any problems? We're not huge fans of 8 bag ride, but beggars can't be choosy. Our Pete's have always ridden way nicer than the 8 bag KW we have...kinda feels like a baby buggy to us.

I find my "upgraded" ag200 isn't too bad. Real cranky about ride height and changing shocks is a bit but it rides and handles decent.

I really think airliner is one of the best air suspensions ever made, tough, rides nice and not too much sway, there's just no way I could bring myself to put freightliner parts on my 359. I've heard that airliner was the first low air but peterbilt sold it to freightliner and designed another low air, could just be a truckstop story to justify putting it on paccar stuff though lol.

Yea the 200 was a turd. Whoever thought removing the rubber bushings was a good idea probably now works for IH designing their junk. The 8 bag is almost maintenance free, bushings maybe close to 1mil unlike low air that’s every couple years.

I've got the orange stemco poly bushings everywhere too. I really like them

Had an air bag explode at work today. Another shop failed to put the nuts on the lower studs of the bag. It kicked out and the remaining stud caught the tire as the truck was being driven out of the shop.

That’s not gonna bring any shine back. It is essentially a clear to protect aluminum.

I just rebushed my ag100 on the 94 was cheap. Pretty much identical to the ag400 on my other 94z I regret swapping that in though and wish I would have went to a 4 bag suspension. It doesn’t have enough cushion to remove sharp hits. Don’t get swaying though. That being said I wouldn’t have bought a truck with an ag200.

What did you do to upgrade it?

Hire a crack head. Best thing you can do for shining up aluminum.

The ag400 upgrade. It came with the truck. But I did all poly bushings.

Certainly not as soft as some suspensions out there. It seems a good chop on the road it performs badly.

I bought a case of it but like BRE said it’s just a protectant, polish then spray that on. They offer a service to wrap tanks and dumps with a clear film. I’ve seen a few 1/2 round Mac dumps done and they look New Years later.

This trailer is only three years old, so maye if I can make it shine I'll use that. The blue beacon citrus wash makes it look pretty good, it's just I never get within a 100mi of one. I found some citrus wash products so we'll see. Maybe I should just drop it off at the jail. I don't believe I'd want to leave a crack head alone around our place. The local pawn shop may have a lot of snap on tools for sale shortly afterwards.
