3" 30-45* Aramid Reinforced Silicone Boots???

I have searched a little and can't seem to locate any aramid reinforced silicone boots with a 30 to 45 degree bend. Post up if you are aware of any. I have searched most of the popular places like silicone intakes and turbo hoses.com but nothing. Thanks. I would be ok with fiberglass too given it never gets below -15 here in winter.

If anyone is aware of who actually makes the Peak Diesel boots I would love to get in touch so I could discuss them making a boot like this. All they sell is OEM dimensioned boots which I have everywhere except at the turbo discharge like I need this boot to be. Thanks.

Going to call and find out Monday. Being 4-ply and the thickness that piece is I would assume it is much better than the 4-ply polyester silicone boot I destroyed recently.

Can you weld an elbow to the pipe & use a straight coupler?

Can't remember which one it was, silicone intakes or turbo hoses, sorry, but one of them does make custom orders and could probably help you out

I've had much better luck using straight hoses in lieu of elbows, however, I recently have had issues with the straight hoses letting go after 30-40 1/4 mile runs.

Whatever you do, don't settle for polyester reinforcing as it doesn't hold up reliably long term.

Turbo hoses would make a 5-ply fiberglass elbow requiring atleast two orders at $125 each. Needless to say I am looking for other options.

Thanks for the rec's, I have read many various turbo boot threads and am aware the risk of bends in compressor hot side boots but am willing to give another a shot. The peak pieces are aramid reinforced including the bend at the inlet of the intercooler so believe an aramid piece will work. I use an elbow on the turbo as is so it is not as if i'm looking for an elbow to come right out of the compressor housing directly 90'ing to the intercooler piping.

For what its worth the regular polyester silicone intakes piece held up to 65 even 70psi regularly being delt by the new charger. I will update the spool flange thread when I have things back up and running but a recent spool flange line failure caused super duper boost and 160psi drive so who knows how much boost the poly piece saw when it blew. I think it was safe to say more than 70psi lol.

I just got some silicone boots from this place.

http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.com

They're 5 ply, but I'm not sure whether they're fiberglass, polyester or ???. They have some pretty good specs though, and the prices are OK too. Having a bend coming off the turbo is a tough one though. Maybe give them a call.

^^^ Thanks. Going to call them. Given the temp rating I'm certainly hoping they are made with the aramid reinforcing. Would imagine they are.

For whatever it is worth the link I provided for the 4-ply boot links to a boot rated for 68psi working pressure and 205psi burst pressure.

Will get specs for the 5-ply boots drothgeb linked to

Did you ever find aramid 45* couplings? I had high hopes for the 5 ply ones from Madrel Bending Solutions, but I've blown a different one at the last 3 times at the track, so I'm looking again. I know the Peak boots are great, but the ones from Source Automotive have a lifetime guarantee. They just don't make a 45* in 3".

Wow....that sucks I had high hopes just finding your link.
