Raybestos Ball Joint 6154007 Question

Yes I know this is the performance section but no one ever post in the tech section

Got these installed finally. When I tighten the bottom up first it pushes the upper ball joint in bout 1/2in. Took the lower back loose and with the upper tighten pushes down 1/2in or so. Seems really weird to me??? Im also running the 5051311 Lower joints. Has anyone seen this??

This is on my 09 6.7 crew longbed also

Well the bottom one should have a snap ring keeping it from going back down. You didn't grind away to much material where they won't hold now did you?

I didn't grind nothing away. I mean the ball joint goes 1/2in inside the housing itself not pop out

the upper ball joint can move up and down and be fine that's the way they were designed.
