48re transmission PROBLEMS

my transmission was slipping 2-3 -- took in and it was rebuilt (no sure-cure kit used) upon testing it would not shift to overdrive .. parked -- getting back in it did not want to shipt into any gears .. did finally and took home -- back in shop error code not geting enough voltage --- they replaced Gov sensor and codes cleared -- said it drove fine -- BUT going on freeway again would not shift to overdrive ... after stopping now does not want to move at all -- does eventually but VERY slow ( like starting in 3rd like original before GOV sensor was replaced ... also now will not register into Park .. ANY IDEAS WELCOMED !!!!

It sounds like you have a valve body issue that was not fixed with the rebuild. Have it towed back to the shop who built the Trans and let them fix it again.

sounds like you got a transmission rebuilt over a loose band needing adjustment lol

If it was slipping in 3rd as well it wouldn't be the band. 2nd only, then yes. But 2 and 3 is a band and the directs. Are you using a high ratio apply lever? Could've been causing a bind up on the 2-3 shift and prematurely wore both the band and the directs due to the servo having to stroke further to release the band while the directs are already engaged.
