if the combo is right then they do come together.. I chose to have two tunes in mine but I tow often heavy so keeping it de tuned to around 550-600hp is best, then some imjectors and dv's and it is back up to 750+..
its all about what you want.. the little truck is going to be easiest to keep together as you don't have the weight to break as many parts.. but all three have had parts breakage addressed..

Stick with one of the regular cab shortbeds. Don't have to have near the power to be fast. Will be way more reliable.
