99 FL60 mutt/conversion/repower project build

Got 45 day tags, out of state inspection, scaled minus hitch contraption and 2 tires, still got double frame to remove and shorten WB back to 150"

Most likely operating weight will be around 10,000lbs.. LMM is 7500lbs ready to roll out.
Inner dual tires are off because I see no point in putting them back on for the time being

Figured as much, just curious if he'd been tinkering with it during any downtime.

Just been working my ass off...
Got electrical spreadsheet for the fuse panel, bought new HVAC blower motor, switch, speed resister, and couple nobs..
The Hendrickson air suspension is OEM to the VIN.
Got air bag number and cross them, priced out completely AC system condenser, txv, canister compressor, engine brackets, everything engine side is missing, along with harness.. should be 2500.00 in parts and probably one of the last things I put on the truck..
Wheel bolt pattern is 8*285 hub centric.. local truck parts is an Alcoa dealer, should have a price Tuesday, 22.5 run $330each figures 19.5 should be around 275.. had to put new drive tires on my LMM couple weeks ago. Put the used tires on the frieghtmut..
Talked to Dan Vallance on clutch options..
Half looked up anti idle stuff, bigger fuel tank options current are dual 55gl
4state truck had ~90gl versions but are 18*18 vs mine are 18 wide 13 tall.. might be able to sneak a 15-16" tall tank in there.. MPG will determine if I put more capacity on.. ~10mpg I'd have a 7-900 mile range pending load wind drag and terrian.. which is roughly double current setup

Still leaning heavily on the mechanical 8.3 option due to money.. since I have no core I have to buy everything outright.. which adds $1500.00 to both engine and transmission cost. Going after the engine and transmission right now they are about 5-6,000 each
RTLO or a RTOO 13sp is still in the air, both cost the same.. just one's less common and other I wouldn't have to swap gears

Wheeeww. **** that. How much are you gonna have in the freightliner? Looks like a fun project and a good set up to start with.

I'm expecting spend 30-40k on it, engine/transmission/clutch/driveshaft is going to be 10-15k of that.. less if I don't have to rebuild the 8.3.. rest will be, tires, weatherstrip, interior, nickle and dime stuff

New 3500 dually is 60-70k

Yeah the 2500/3500's are getting pricey, I wouldn't mind getting one, but I put 30-40k a year on one just going to the rig and man camps, doesn't take long to go from a 60k dollar truck to a 30k dollar truck.

This LMM had 10k miles 3 years ago and it's getting ready to turn 100k already.

I wouldn't be buying a new one.. it would be a 06-10 truck 15-30k , and I'd pull it apart and key crank/cam and swap pistons, diff gears, TC, fan clutch, lift pump, fuel filters, oil cooler, Tranny lines, plus what ever else is worn out..

Any idea on what the top right line is "supposed" to do?
Bottom left is supply off the ride height valve. Other two supply the air bags

Replaced tank drain valve, got the cab air suspension bag working..

Does the top right go anywhere? Maybe a signal for dump? If the valve has an exhaust on

There's a manual dump switch on the dash.. and line runs up under the cab...I disconnect the line at the valve nothing happened..
.Side note....It could be corroded up inside. Since there is only one tank and no air dryer on the truck, and therefore not work
