Can I use a autometer gas engine tach on my 12v? Do I just buy and adapter to use with damper? Found a 5inch tach for cheap so I was just wondering

depending on the the set up you might be better doing a one wire conversion and having a tach pickup added to the alternator.

You can run the dakota digital dsl-2 tach interface.

Yep,the Dakota Digital DSL-2 w/a pick up probe is what I did.I get the signal off the flex plate teeth.
