Ever mix kolene steels with stock style frictions ?

Slapping together a 47re for an 03 with a 64mm. My buddy ordered parts for a 48re so the forward clutch frictions teeth don't match the annulus gear teeth. He then ordered some alto "high energy frictions" which aren't the racing ones.

I have some spare regular steels I could install wth the regular frictions.

Does the forward clutch pack take that much abuse ?

I've mixed kolene steels with regulars to gain the clearance I like to have , haven't had any problems yet.

Same here but in a GM transmission to achieve proper stack up. It shifted fine.
