lower control arm bolt removal... ?

how the heck do you get these out without damaging mounts on the axle tube?

j tried kroil, tried magnetic heat induction, tried hammer, bigger hammer, ball joint press...... 500ft lb breaking force impact gun, 5oo ft lb gun + hammer..... son of a biotch wont budge. reason for need of removal, tire jockey at tire shop tried to jack my truck up under the control arm, bent it pretty bad, on both sides......

shop denies that they did it.

I have had to use the red wrench.

Just cut them and install new ones.

Sawzall. Cut the bolt on both sides inside the pocket. That's how I have to do leaf springs on quarry trucks

I wouldn't worry about it. I'd park the SOB in front of the shop and make them sumb1tches fix it.

At this point it's time to cut it off. Been there done that. I've used both a cut-off wheel and a sawzall.

Just start by cutting through the rubber in the joint instead of trying to go between it and the bracket itself. Will help you avoid damaging the bracket.

Moog also sells the bolt and nut through most parts stores.

Do you have nut splitter? No pun as to what kind force it'd take with a BF breaker bar. It would have to be of substantial size, of course.

I had to cut the bolts on both of the bottom arms, once they were out I cut one up and it dang near looked to be a solid chunk of metal instead of a bolt being in there

I used a reciprocating saw between the arm and mount. Mine looked like one solid piece after removal.
