Anyone currently in Ali al salem

I've been transient through there. I don't know anyone there right now though. Our taskings have slowed down a lot this year.
 
Air force. We're going to the crappy gulf states, afghan, jubuti (I know spelling is way off) and a few others. Theres another one in africa I can't even try to remember the name of, just a bare base though.

Thats no joke. 145* ambient for a week straight while I was in bucca, and 130* for the week I was transient in salem. You could make coffee on the roof of the humvee's. Or hot chocolate. swiss miss was like currency there.
 
I hear you, its finally getting cooler, ive been blessed with night shift work so I haven't seen too much of the heat except for the first couple of weeks.
 
haha people would beg for mid shift. The water all tasted like plastic too, that was before people cared about heat causing chemicals leaching into the water
