GTX Turbo?

I pulled this thing out of storage to get a look at it. Appears to be 70X102 on the compressor and ~87mm inducer on the turbine. Water cooled chra.
I'm thinking it most closely matches a GTX4202r 800296-6.
My biggest question is whether or not it's a clipped turbine. I'm having trouble getting a measurement.
Trying to decide if it would be worth investing in to run as a single with a T4 housing. It has a steel compressor cover, which I've only seen on titanium wheeled units, but the wheel appears to be aluminum.
Let me know what you think or know what it is and whether it's worth investing in. Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.

Edit: I remember I had looked up an 82 turbine earlier, 87mm would make it a 4502r, but the chra is nearly identical I believe.

It's certainly clipped from the definition I know. They could put the 11 blade gtx compressor design on your gta model.

So you subtly pointed out something I was curious about. The boreless compressor makes it a GTA, but did the GTA series come with a ball bearing chra?
Thoughts on the performance of the clipped turbine?

Edit: I just found what appears to call it a GTB4502L.

I have what I figured out was a GTB37 sitting in the floor with it, but it's too small to be of interest for me. The 37 does at least have a billet compressor.

I'm no real help, sorry. By the numbers it would work well if you can find the right turbine housing. People run the the 96/88 clipped turbine as a single.

Worst case scenario, a 1.32 housing on an s475, 12v with 22° timing. Looks fun

I'm thinking that clipped wheel might be fun in a 1.1 housing. It's going to cost $1K just to get housings on it, let alone the money to get it on the truck.
I really thought I would be able to find more covers floating around online, but ATP is the only page that even references the compressor.
It would probably be more efficient to throw on a KTS wheel and a more normal cover. That 70X102 intrigues me though.

Lit at 2800, and pulled until 3400.

Looked like a turd.

Looks like a turbo that would have been from a C12 cat.

The 12's have either an S310 or GTA4294 or 4202 depending on HP, this turbo came off a tier 4 C13. I think this turbine housing is configured so that what was the wastegate actually causes back pressure to force exhaust gas into the NRS (EGR) system. I'm also suspicious that's why it has a clipped turbine.

Okay, Gotcha. That makes sense. The specs seemed to. E close to what a C12 has. Makes sense it from a C13.

Thanks for the clarification.

I don't believe there are any GT/G Series turbines that aren't cast with some degree of back cut(clip). The turbine pictured is ground to alter the trailing edge length similar to the old 73/80mm S300 turbine, from my understanding that is almost always done to resolve a harmonic issue.

Any idea whom I would need to contact about an aluminum compressor cover to match that compressor trim?

The little turbo. Pretty sure this one is a GTB3782. Spiffy little billet wheel. Might make a good secondary. Click the image to open in full size.Click the image to open in full size.
